Dear Vdovin Evgenii:

You should edit your "gap.bat" sript file modifing "-o" parameter
to get more memory for GAP. The default is "-o 128m" which means 128MB of
RAM. Win XP uses a Swap memory file, then when physical RAM is not enough,
swap file is activated.

Best Regards. Daniel Espinosa...

Dear GAP-Forum,

I tried to calculate character table of some groups (under Windows
XP) but the GAP stops after some time telling "There is no enough
memory. Press 'Enter' to quit the program". Can it be possible to
use hard disk if RAM-memory is not sufficient? If it is so, how it
can be done? Thanks in advance.
